I would love to enter this contest! I have been wanting to read these books for a while now but haven’t had the chance. I also just started a review blog and would love to have them on there!

      P. S. sorry forgot to answer the question and just now realized my mistake…..

I think Dark Paranormal would be like the Black Dagger Brotherhood/Dark-Hunter books. The books seem more uneasy or rough.

The Light Paranormal would be like the Argeneau and Rogue Hunter books. Lots of laughter and doesn’t seem as deadly.

  2. Mary Preston says:

Dark paranormal I tend not to read at night. It makes me too susceptible to strange noises in the dark. Light paranormal takes me on a less troubled ride to places & beings of the wildest imaginations. Both are delicious reading!!

I would love to win this contest. I have been wanting to give these books a try. Dark paranormal romance to me has a darker story tone with some possible comedy in it but more of a focus on darker themes and light paranormal romance has a lighter tone with more comedy and humor in it. I like both types of stories but it kind of depends on what I am in the mood for.

I think that the story line and the people are not sinister and they have a darker plot and the light one are good nature stories

  7. Miss SED says:

I think dark paranormal tends to deal with more gritty issues, the descriptions of issues within the books tend to be more graphic and the characters more serious; a good example is Zsadist’s story in BDB.
An excellent example of light paranormal romance is Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series which does deal with some darker issues but the overall feel of the book is lighter due to the use of humour throughout.

  8. I think dark paranormal romance is more intense emotions and gritty atmosphere. More blood, More sex, Dangerous, a bit Gothic and mysterious. I think Dark paranormal romance would be vampires, demons… Light paranormal romance would be a happier fantasy world. I would say fairies…but in the Merry Gentry series the fairies aren’t always so happy-go-lucky. But i guess a lighter atmosphere overall. You would know that there would be a definite happily ever after.
