Fear of Halloween is Samhainophobia. I would hate to have this one because I love Halloween.

  3. Eva P. says:

That would be Samhainophobia, I’m glad I don’t suffer from that because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays next to Christmas πŸ™‚

  4. Samhainophobia is the fear of Halloween. Not a problem for me. I have Ophidiophobia – Fear of snakes. I had to look it up to see what the scientific name was. I just call it snakephobia. LOL
Having a hopping good time! It’s great visiting with old friends and finding new authors and books to add to my wish list.

Thank you for being part of the hop AND for the chance to win!

  5. The answer is Samhainophobia. I’m glad I’m just scared of spiders, not *everything* Halloween related! πŸ™‚

Samhainophobia is the fear of Halloween. If I had a phobia it would be Arachnophobia. I do not like spiders.

I guess there is medical term for every fear out there. My first thought was that if you are afraid of Halloween you’d suffer from being a Hallow-wienie…but I guess the real medical term is samhainophobia. (bad Halloween pun, LOL)

    Thanks for the contest Mary!

  8. Vanessa (Pixi) says:

As others have said the answer is “Samhainophobia”. The name makes sense to me since Halloween sort of stems from Samhain, the Gaelic Harvest Festival.

    Happy Halloween =)

The answer is Samhainophobia. I don’t have any true phobias, but I’m not fond of clowns at any time of year. πŸ™‚

  11. The fear of Halloween is Samhainophobia. I am glad I don’t have it. I don’t really have a fear of anything but I don’t like spiders or clowns. They both give me the creeps, lol.

  12. Jessica B. says:

If you have a phobia of halloween you suffer from samhainophobia. I personally have a fear of spiders and the dark but I wouldn’t think of them as phobias. . . that I know of.
