Winter Wonder Man Blog Hop Jan 16-19th

Happy New Year and welcome to the Winter Wonder Man Blog hop!

What makes a hero in movies and books wonderful to the point your toes curl?

For me, I like a hero who is strong, big-hearted, confident, funny and a hopeless romantic. He’ll do anything for the one he loves. He’s not perfect. Nobody is. He wants to make the world a better place. He’s down to earth and not looking for fame or fortune. He merely wants to find the woman his heart and body yearns for. After he finds her, he wants to spend every minute with her. He can’t stop thinking about her. He longs to kiss her, touch her, love her forever. Yeaaaahhh, I like that kind of hero.

What about you?

For this blog hop, leave me your answer in a comment and put your email addy. On Jan. 20th, I’ll use random.org to select a winner.

The winner will receive Love Bites by Linsay Sands and Cheat the Grave by Vicki Pettersson. Both are autographed paperback books.

Oh you nailed it with ‘confidence’! and if a hero has protective instincts, in that ‘i’d do anything to keep you safe’ kind of way, it gets me every time! I loved your description of the perfect hero!! great post, Mary 🙂

I think heroes who have tortured souls make the best stories. I like them to be confident (the typical alpha male),loyal to a fault and funny 🙂

I am attracted to the ones that are scarred, both physically and mentally. I have no idea why. I also like the thoughtful, strong and common sense smart.

Thanks for the comments. I agree, a hero with a tortured soul is attractive too. That tortured soul needs someone to keep him straight. Right? That tortured soul has to be a romantic. Oh yes, imagine the possibilities… 🙂
Good luck to each of you!!

I love the flawed hero who rides the line of good and bad. Smart, sexy and alpha but who has that sweet side and sweeps me off my feet.

To be wonderful to me, a hero has to be kind (even if he hides it), honorable, confident, smart, and have a sense of humor.

I have to say torture souls do have their own appeal. Won Bin(korean actor) role in The Man from Nowhere certainly had my toes curling.

I can’t receive your book because I’m international, but I enjoyed your post. One thing I’ve noticed when people describe a toe curling man is that the is always monogamous. Interesting how a womanizer has yet to make the list.

My perfect hero is tall, muscular, confident, loyal, Alpha, bad-ass, intelligent, protective, vulnerable and majorly damaged — but ultimately redeemable!

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

I love a caring, protective hero, one who can go all alpha male, yet doesn’t feel threatened and even encourages their loved one taking the lead and taking charge. A sense of humor is also important. It doesn’t matter if it’s just goofiness, dry humor, wit, etc, just some type of sense of humor. He has to be able to deal with feelings, not all, oh I’m a guy, we don’t do those things, over-macho crap. I want a guy who’s secure in his massculinity (you know, not afraid to wear pink or scared people will think he’s “gay” or “a girl” for actually doing/enjoying things like going to the theatre or dressing fashionably). Loyalty and fidelity are extremely important as well as being able to cook. A guy who can cook is super sexy. And romantic at heart as well.

Heroes I love tend to be very alpha maleish… I am married to my high school sweetheart who happens to be a former marine and I love it when he gets all alpha maleish 🙂 So the heros I like tend to have characteristics of him, Cocky, Protective, Strong, Sexy, Funny, and make their heroines so frustrated they roll their eyes or want to kill him… Yep that is what I love . Thanks for being part of the hop.

It’s all about how the hero acts. Strong, silent, respectful, faithful, devoted and a problem-solver. Plus being handsome is ok too;)
